  • Chameli (2004)

Kareena Kapoor plays this character who has made peace with her destiny as an innocent girl being pushed into something she doesn’t want to be part of. The movie also stars Rahul Bose which tells us that even though there might seem like no hope for these people at first glance – society is not all black or white so everything can always work out in the end!

  • Yuva (2004)

Yuva is one of Kareena Kapoor’s best works of her career. The film revolves around the lives of three men from different strata who cross paths one morning in Calcutta and change one another’s lives forever. • Dev (2004)

The movie Dev deals with complex themes such as the Hindu-Muslim conflict, power dynamics between the common man, the police department and communal violence. Alongside actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Om Puri, it features a refreshing portrayal by Govind who chose to cast Kareena Kapoor in Ahilya’s role alongside Fardeen Khan for Farhaan’s part despite low expectations from the audience due to their previous collaboration on box office flops. The story had an intriguing plotline but Fardeen failed at delivering what audiences were looking forward to. Kareena acted well. However, it bombed at the box office.

  • Aitraaz (2004)

Kareena Kapoor’s silent aggression, in her confident portrayal of an Indian woman determined to save her husband’s (played by Akshay Kumar) prestige, gave a solid foundation to the plot.

  • Kurbaan (2009)

Kurbaan is the debut movie for Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan as a couple. Kareena Kapoor plays Avantika Ahuja, a university professor with US citizenship. Saif Ali Khan plays Ehsan Khan, who marries her in order to get a US visa.
